The beat is approximately 450 meters long and is fishable from the bank on the right hand side looking down stream and can be easily waded at the top end of the beat. The end pool on the beat is the boat hole and is brilliant for fishing at any height as it is very deep. The season starts in Febuary and finishes in October although it is catch and releasefor until June. Sea Trout and Brown Trout can be kept early in the season though. Any method of fishing is allowed on this stretch of the Derwent (Worm, Spin and Fly).
